Santo Domingo 2026 Organizing Committee and Grupo Ramos Sign Agreement Ahead of the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games
The Santo Domingo 2026 Organizing Committee and Grupo Ramos have finalized an agreement in preparation for the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games.
Grupo Ramos will become an Official Sponsor of the regional multi-sport event.
The signing ceremony was led by Mercedes Ramos, Chair of the Board of Directors of Grupo Ramos, along with José P. Monegro, President of the Organizing Committee, and Luis Mejía, President of Centro Caribe Sports.
The agreement includes brand participation throughout the regional event, as well as promotional activities and on-site activations.
“We are very proud to be part of our country’s history. Sport is a pillar of balance for society, a source of support for young people, and a pathway to securing a better future for the nation,” said Ramos after formalizing the agreement between the two organizations.

The agreement provides for a series of promotional initiatives to give visibility to Santo Domingo 2026 across La Sirena store locations. In addition, a supermarket will be installed within the Athletes’ Village to serve the delegations from the 37 participating countries.
“The main idea is for the athletes’ stay to be a comprehensive experience for everyone taking part and enjoying the event as they deserve. This tournament will mark a milestone for our country,” said Monegro, who added: “Grupo Ramos represents hard work and dynamism, and is an example to Dominicans that with effort and perseverance, great things can be achieved.”
La Sirena will also serve as a strategic hub for volunteer recruitment.
Prior to the signing, Santo Domingo 2026 executives explained the importance of the event and its significance for Centro Caribe Sports. They also presented the official Games commercial and introduced the mascot, Colí.
In addition to Ramos, Carmen Julia Ángeles, Executive Marketing Director, was present. Monegro was accompanied by Thomas Polanco and César Heredia, Games executives, as well as José Luis Montero, Marketing Director, and Juan Guerra, Director of Strategy and Projects at Centro Caribe Sports.
