Santo Domingo 2026 Committee to open media accreditation process
The Organizing Committee of the Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026 will officially open the media accreditation process on March 31 for journalists interested in covering the regional sporting event.
Journalists, photographers, cameramen, and other communication professionals will be able to complete their applications through a link available on the official event website: jcc2026.org.
The President of the Organizing Committee, José P. Monegro, emphasized the importance of launching the process early to ensure broad and well-organized coverage of the event.
“The media are fundamental partners in showcasing these Games to the country and the world. With the opening of this process, we aim to facilitate their participation and ensure coverage at the highest level,” said the renowned journalist.
The process will allow national and international media outlets to register their representatives to follow the various competitions and official activities included in the Games program.
The Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026 will mark the centennial of the first edition of the regional event, held in 1926. It will be the third time the Dominican Republic hosts the multi-sport event, following the 1974 and 1986 editions, the latter held in Santiago.
The XXV edition of the Games will take place from July 24 to August 8, with the participation of approximately 6,200 athletes.
