100 days until history is written once again in Santo Domingo, host city of the Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026, an edition that will celebrate 100 years of the oldest multi-sport event in the region.
From July 24 to August 8, Central America and the Caribbean will come together in an event that goes beyond sport. More than 30 disciplines, including athletics, swimming, gymnastics, baseball, and taekwondo, will be part of a program that will feature the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center and other key venues across the city.
With 100 days to go, preparations are moving forward steadily, with the delivery of infrastructure, the operation of commissions, and the technical development of the Games.
The Centennial Torch continues its journey as a symbol of identity, unity, and tradition, connecting each country with the spirit of the Games.
At the same time, qualification processes are progressing across various disciplines, determining the athletes who will represent their nations in an edition that will bring together emerging talent and established sports figures.
“We are 100 days away from historic Games. Santo Domingo will be the stage where we celebrate sport, identity, and the unity of an entire region. These will be the Centennial Games, and we are committed to ensuring they live up to their history,” stated the president of Centro Caribe Sports, Luis Mejía Oviedo.
