By Helen Acevedo.-World athletics is once again getting its shoes ready. The 2026 Diamond League has revealed its schedule, and with it, the promise of a season that will bring speed, jumping, and throwing to four continents, on a journey that will unite cultures, climates, and emotions on a single track: that of high performance.

The opening event will be on May 8 in Doha, where the desert will once again become the starting point for athletics’ stars. From there, the caravan will travel to China for two consecutive meetings: Shanghai on May 16 and Xiamen on the 23rd, where the Asian public will once again enthusiastically welcome the world champions and new talents.

The calendar continues its journey toward Africa, with a vibrant stop in Rabat (May 31), before crossing into the heart of Europe for a series of circuit classics: Rome (June 4), Stockholm (June 7), Oslo (June 10), and Paris (June 26). Each stadium, with its own history and atmosphere, promises to relive unforgettable duels.

On July 4, the action crosses the Atlantic to Eugene, the birthplace of American track and field, where the Hayward Field track will once again roar with the world’s best. The circuit then returns to Europe with two summer gems: Monaco (July 10) and London (July 18), venues that often offer record-breaking nights and impossible times.
After a brief Olympic break, the League will resume its competitive pulse in Lausanne (August 21), Silesia (August 23), and Zurich (August 27), in the final stretch of a tour that combines Swiss precision, Polish passion, and Swiss tradition.

The curtain will fall in Brussels on September 4 and 5 on the grand finale, where only the best will have the chance to be crowned Diamond League champions in 2026.

A round-the-world race in 15 seasons, a season that promises speed, drama, and excellence. Athletics is preparing, once again, to write new stories with every jump, every stride, every thousandth of a second that decides glory.
