Expo Santo Domingo 2026 Officially Opens

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – As part of the activities leading up to the opening of the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026, a permanent exhibition dedicated to the history and legacy of the Central American and Caribbean Games and Centro Caribe Sports was officially inaugurated at the Dominican Sports Museum, located within the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Centro Caribe Sports Executive Committee, who participated in the official opening of this permanent exhibition designed to preserve the memory of the oldest regional sports organization in the Americas and showcase the evolution of the Central American and Caribbean Games throughout more than a century of history.

The exhibition features historical artifacts, photographs, documents, and commemorative pieces highlighting some of the most iconic moments in the history of the Central American and Caribbean Games, as well as the role played by Centro Caribe Sports in strengthening sport across the region since its foundation.

During the tour, members of the Executive Committee visited each section of the exhibition, which will allow visitors, athletes, and future generations to experience the sporting legacy that has united the nations of Central America and the Caribbean for a century.

The inauguration of this permanent exhibition represents another significant contribution to preserving the region’s sporting heritage and forms part of the lasting legacy of the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026, reaffirming Centro Caribe Sports’ commitment to history, education, and the values of sport.
