Caribbean triple jump excellence returns to the spotlight in Europe. Venezuela’s Yulimar Rojas and Cuba’s Liadagmis Povea headline the Central American and Caribbean presence at the 45th edition of the Spanish Women’s Club Championship, Copa Iberdrola, taking place this Saturday at the Palau Velódrom Luis Puig in Valencia.

The participation of both athletes raises the profile of the meet and places the women’s triple jump among the central highlights of the competition—a discipline in which the Caribbean has established sustained international leadership over the past decade.

Olympic champion and global reference in the triple jump, Yulimar Rojas will represent FC Barcelona, once again positioning herself at the heart of the international stage.

Meanwhile, Liadagmis Povea, two-time Olympic and World Championship finalist and reigning World Indoor silver medallist (Nanjing 2025), will take on the challenge as part of the host team.

The competition will run from 17:30 to 19:55 (local time in Spain), featuring a 13-event program that will conclude with the 4x400m relay. The event will be streamed live on LaLiga+.
