Centro Caribe Sports President Luis Mej\u00eda Oviedo welcomed representatives from the Centre for Expertise, Resources and Sports Performance (CREPS) of Guadeloupe at the headquarters of the Central American and Caribbean Sports Organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Caribbean delegation delivered a presentation outlining the progress made in implementing strategies and actions for international cooperation across the Caribbean region, noting that more than 300 athletes per year benefit from these plans and projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luis Mej\u00eda Oviedo, President of Centro Caribe Sports, praised the organization\u2019s efforts and, firsthand, learned about CCS programs that support key areas such as the training of sports journalists and coaches as part of the Centenary Roadmap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visiting committee \u2014 composed of Lydia Barfleur, Trecy Losbar, Pierre Bougeois, Eliane Portecop, and Chantal Cusset from CREPS, along with Briggitte Veynel from the French Embassy \u2014 shared a productive working session at the CCS headquarters in Santo Domingo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Juan Guerra, Director of Strategy and Projects of the organization, this visit strengthens the centennial roadmap workstreams of Centro Caribe Sports, particularly in coach education and the sports journalism program, which already includes a journalist from Guadeloupe working within its operational team.
One of Guadeloupe\u2019s goals is to establish a Cultural House during the celebration of the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
