The aquatic complex at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center has received official certification validating it to host international competitions, including world-level events, across its four disciplines, establishing itself as one of the most complete facilities of its kind in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The certification confirms that the complex meets all technical standards and requirements set by international governing bodies for aquatic sports, enabling it to host events of the highest level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The document was delivered to the Ministry of Housing and Buildings (MIVED), the entity responsible for the construction of the project, during a ceremony endorsed by the Dominican Swimming Federation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among those in attendance were Jos\u00e9 P. Monegro, President of the Organizing Committee of the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026; Vice President Felipe Vicini; President of Centro Caribe Sports, Luis Mej\u00eda Oviedo; President of the Dominican Olympic Committee, Garibaldy Bautista; President of the Dominican Swimming Federation, Radham\u00e9s Taveras; and Deputy Minister of Sports, Kelvin Mendoza, representing the Ministry of Sports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The complex was fully rebuilt for the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026, including the construction of entirely new pools designed according to international standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The modern infrastructure features three pools built by Fluidra, a globally recognized company in the design and development of aquatic facilities, while the civil works were carried out by MIVED as part of the renovation process of the Olympic Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among its innovations, the complex includes a state-of-the-art pool climate control system, allowing water temperatures to be maintained at the levels required for international competitions, regardless of weather conditions, including world-class events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to the pools and the new diving platform, the complex includes a dry gym\u2014an uncommon specialized facility in the region\u2014that enables athletes to train and refine their techniques in a controlled environment prior to competition, significantly enhancing the quality of athletic preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
