SANTO DOMINGO<\/strong>.\u00a0Mexico’s beach volleyball duo of\u00a0Susana Torres\u00a0and\u00a0Abril Flores\u00a0opened their campaign at the\u00a0XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026\u00a0with a\u00a02-0victory over\u00a0Grenada\u00a0in the preliminary round held at the\u00a0Malec\u00f3n Deportivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mexican pair displayed a solid performance from the opening serve to defeat\u00a0Thornia Mitchell\u00a0and\u00a0Renisha Stafford, who, despite the loss, put up a strong fight throughout several stretches of the match. Mitchell recorded\u00a0seven points\u00a0for Grenada, including\u00a0four attack points\u00a0and\u00a0three aces, while Stafford contributed\u00a0six points\u00a0with\u00a0five attacksand\u00a0one block.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Mexico,\u00a0Abril Flores\u00a0led all scorers with\u00a019 points, including\u00a016 attacks\u00a0and\u00a0three aces, while\u00a0Susana Torresadded\u00a010 points, with\u00a0six attacks\u00a0and\u00a0four aces, to guide their team to victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
