SANTO DOMINGO 2026 GAMES TECHONOLOGY COMMITTEE SWORN IR

SANTO DOMINGO – The Organizing Committee of the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026, announced the members of the Technology Committee that will accompany the Organizing Committee in everything related to this aspect of the regional sporting event.

The Technology Committee is made up of renowned professionals in the area José Armando Tavárez, who will chair it, Orlando Prieto, César Lara, Juan Francisco Terrero, Arturo López Valerio and Darwin Castillo.

The group was sworn in by the President of the Organizing Committee, journalist José P. Monegro, who thanked them for their willingness to join the team that will work in the assembly of the biggest regional sporting event.

“The demonstrated willingness to serve of those who make up this team and their recognized technical capacity put us on the road to achieving that the Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026 will be the most technological in history,” said Monegro after taking the oath.

Meanwhile, José Armando Tavárez, former rector of the Instituto Tecnológico de las Américas, said that for all his colleagues it is a source of pride to serve the country in an honorable way with the responsibility that has been entrusted to him.

“We will dedicate all our efforts so that the grain of sand we have to contribute will help the Dominican Republic to shine in the staging of these games,” said Tavárez, speaking on behalf of the Technology Commission.

The President of the Organizing Committee was accompanied by Arístides Fernández Zucco, operational coordinator in the Dominican Republic for the San Salvador 2023 sub-venue, and César Heredia Corporán, who will serve as strategic support for the Technology Committee.

“We have made significant progress in this regard to ensure the successful staging of these sports in our country, fulfilling the word pledged by the Dominican government,” said Monegro.
