THE CENTRO CARIBE SPORTS WEBSITE INTEGRATED INTO THE PARIS 2024 OLYMPICS

Jul 23, 2024

As of Monday, the Centro Caribe Sports website has been integrated into the Paris 2024 Olympic Games platform, with the introduction of widgets that offer timely information on the participation and results of athletes from Central America and the Caribbean.

Thanks to an alliance between Olympic Channel and our organization, we were able to serve as a link so that all the delegations of the member countries of Centro Caribe Sports, as well as the fans in general, can visualize an exclusive calendar for the region.

Users who access our website will be able to see the daily calendar, medal list and results of athletes from Central America and the Caribbean, as part of the monitoring and visualization elements of the HUELLAS project, a program that began at the beginning of this year with Paris 2024 as its destination.

“This new element of having a space dedicated to the Olympic Games but focused on the athletes of our region, of the organization that I lead, is a vision that I always had and today it is materializing,” said President Luis Mejia.

At the same time, the IOC Member also congratulated each of the athletes who are now part of each of their countries in Paris 2024, and declared them winners, saying that having qualified for the Olympic Games makes them special beings.

“Being in the OG is the most difficult thing there is for an athlete, and here we have athletes from 31 member countries of Centro Caribe Sports. That is extraordinary,” he concluded.

The Paris 2024 Olympic Games open on Friday, July 26, starting at 7:30 p.m., French time, with the boat parade of the 206 National Olympic Committees and the Refugee Team.
