The president of Centro Caribe Sports, Luis Mejía Oviedo, received the reports from the 2022 Central American and Caribbean Sea and Beach Games on Monday afternoon.
The reports from the games held in Santa Marta, Colombia, were presented by the president of the Colombian Olympic Committee and treasurer of the Central American and Caribbean Sports Organization, Ciro Solano, who is visiting the Dominican Republic.
“It is a great honor to receive the reports from the first Sea and Beach Games of Centro Caribe Sports, held in Santa Marta, Colombia,” expressed Mejía Oviedo, who also thanked the Colombian Olympic Committee.
Solano also thanked the CCS president for the support and trust in hosting the event in Colombia.
“The Central American and Caribbean Sea and Beach Games are a great product that we must continue to support. Colombia is making efforts to ensure the second games are organized,” he noted.
The next games, the second edition, will be held in Puntarenas, Costa Rica, in 2025. This decision was confirmed by Centro Caribe Sports during an assembly in Santiago, Chile. The province of Puntarenas will be the main host, with events also taking place in Jacó, Playa Hermosa, and Playa Mantas.
