Centro Caribe Sports Press.- Alejandra Orozco, Olympic medalist and a figure in the recent history of Mexican sports, is in Asunción 2025, but this time as part of the Athletes’ Commission, accompanying and representing those who are beginning or continuing their journey in the Youth Olympic cycle.

“I’m on a new platform. Now I’m here as part of the delegation, but from the Athletes’ Commission. I represent Mexico and its athletes; a while ago, I was one of them,” Orozco said in a conversation with Centro Caribe Sports while touring the Olympic Park.

Ale, with the warmth that has always characterized her, speaks from experience but also from hope and love.

“Being able to communicate, support, and be part of a new role excites me.

Seeing the organization, seeing the youth, seeing all the athletes we’ll be following throughout the Olympic cycle… It fills me with hope. They are the future for Los Angeles 2028.”

Regarding the Mexican delegation, she is full of praise: “It’s a delegation with great potential, but also already a reality. Angela, our Paris 2024 Olympic medalist, is here, along with many athletes who are just starting out.

We’ll see them in Lima, at the Central American Games. It’s a time of growth. They’re hungry to fulfill their dreams and goals.”

In her role as a guide, Ale is excited to see familiar faces. “I’m excited to see my teammates. Some I trained with, others I competed with. Seeing them now from this place also inspires me.”

The two-time Olympic diving medalist sends a clear message: “Support these kids who have a lot of talent, who are dreaming big. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but you always learn. We must always get up and return to represent our country with great honor.”

The Asunción 2025 Junior Pan American Games will be held from August 10 to 23, bringing together more than 4,000 athletes from 41 countries across the continent. This event represents a key step on the path to Santo Domingo 2026, Lima 2027, and Los Angeles 2028, and is a fundamental platform for the development of youth sports.
