ANOC and CCS sign agreement to strengthen the sports memory of Central America andthe Caribbean
CCS Press.- During a work session at the headquarters of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) in Lausanne, the general secretary of ANOC, Gunilla Lindberg, and the president of Centro Caribe Sports (CCS), Luis Mejía Oviedo, signed a cooperation agreement, with the aim of strengthening the reconstruction of the historical memory of the Central American and Caribbean region through the proper use of
Technology, Information and Communication.
The directors of communication and digital projects Gustavo Harada, for ACNO and Juan Guerra, for the Central American and Caribbean sports organization, were present at the meeting.
This agreement is part of the centenary route plan of Centro Caribe Sports, in the areas of training sports reporters and journalists. “We have started 2025 with the centenary route and knowing and having the experience of ANOC is very important for our organization and the
National Olympic Committees that comprise it,” said Mejía Oviedo.
In addition, regarding the scope, Mejía indicated that there is a timeline that will allow the training and digital positioning program to be promoted in the first phase. “We want people in other latitudes to learn about the sporting history of our region, which will inspire new
generations,” he concluded.
