BAHAMAS TO PLAY FOR A TICKET TO PARIS 2024

The Bahamas basketball team continues to surprise in the process of qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, and in the FIBA Qualifying Tournament played in Valencia, Spain, will face this Sunday, the local team, for the dispute of the only ticket that grants this event to France.

Scheduled for 2:00 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time, 8:00 p.m. local time, the quintet led by its three NBA players, DeAndre Ayton, Eric Gordon and Buddy Hield, supported by VC Edgecombe Jr. will try to take the Caribbean team to the Olympic Games for the first time in its history.

The Bahamas, like Spain, remain undefeated on their way to a berth in the Olympic Games. The Bahamians defeated Finland and Poland in the preliminary phase, and Lebanon in the semifinals, to qualify for the final game of this four-game bracket that is also being played simultaneously in Latvia, Greece and Puerto Rico.

This Sunday, the four finals of the FIBA Olympic Qualification Tournaments for men’s basketball will be played, which will award one ticket for each venue.

Latvia will face Brazil at 12:00 noon; while Croatia will face Greece at 2:00 p.m.; later, Spain against Bahamas at 2:30 p.m.; and for the finals, Puerto Rico against Lithuania. All times are from the Eastern United States.
