BEACH VOLLEYBALL AND TABLE TENNIS START COMPETITIONS IN SAN SALVADOR 2023

SAN SALVADOR.- This Wednesday, June 21, the sports actions of the XXIV Central American and Caribbean Games, San Salvador 2023, begin with beach volleyball at Costa del Sol, and table tennis at the El Polvorín Sports Complex.

These competitions begin two days prior to the Opening Ceremony, scheduled for June 23 at 7:00 p.m. at the Jorge “El Mágico” González National Stadium.

The first sport will be women’s beach volleyball, between the Cayman Islands duo of Deajra Tulloch and Chlouie Gaetos and Jamaica’s Chauna Kelly and Petal Smith, on the main court of the Costa del Sol National Stadium.

At 9:00 a.m., the match between Colombia, with the duet formed by Ana Maria Flores and Yaleny Moreno, against the representatives of Suriname, Chagnaz Frankel and Janneke Tammenga, is scheduled.

Men’s volleyball will begin at 10:00 a.m., between the Puerto Rican duo of Kevin Rodriguez and Josue Rivera, against the Cayman Islands, with Jesario Ebanks and Casey Santamaria.

Beach volleyball will be played until 7:00 p.m. in both genders.

In table tennis, action will begin at 10:00 a.m. in men’s teams, with four simultaneous matches: Puerto Rico against El Salvador; Cuba versus Trinidad and Tobago; Dominican Republic against Haiti; and Barbados against Honduras.

With four parallel matches starting at 12:00 noon, the women’s table tennis competitions will begin: Puerto Rico vs. Venezuela; Mexico vs. Costa Rica; Cuba vs. Barbados; and Dominican Republic vs. Trinidad and Tobago.

Table tennis actions are scheduled to compete until 7:00 p.m. at El Polvorín.
