Centro Caribe Sports Activates High-Level Agenda in Santo Domingo

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – As part of the preparations for the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games, the Centro Caribe Sports (CCS) Executive Committee will meet from May 29 to 31 in the Dominican capital. During these days, they will develop a work agenda with the organizing committee of the centennial event.

The main meeting will be held on Thursday, May 29, at 6:00 p.m., in Corporate Building 11. Key topics will include the official signing of the SD2026 hosting contract, the opening of bank accounts linked to the event, and the recognition of the Huellas project by the International Sports Press Association (AIPS).

In addition, Ethics Officer Fernando Lapouble will participate via Zoom. Treasurer Ciro Solano will present the financial reports. Updates will also be provided on the working committees: technical, marketing, medical, legal, and women and sports.

The agenda will continue on Friday the 30th with an official visit to the sports facilities and the Central American and Caribbean Village. This activity will be coordinated by the Organizing Committee.

The activities will conclude on Saturday the 31st with the departure of the remaining international delegates.

Centro Caribe Sports thus reaffirms its commitment to the successful development of the Santo Domingo 2026 Games, an event that not only highlights the region’s sporting talent but also promotes integration and the sporting legacy in the Caribbean and Central America.
