CENTRO CARIBE SPORTS AND FIFA DISCUSS PREPARATIONS FOR THE U-17 WOMEN’S WORLD CUP

The President of Centro Caribe Sports, Luis Mejía Oviedo, held a meeting with the President of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), Giovanni Infantino, and the general secretary of the world soccer organization, Mattias Grafström, at the FIFA facilities in France, where they discussed the U-17 Women’s World Cup to be held in the Dominican Republic.

In addition, they talked about other topics of Dominican sport, where Infantino extended his congratulations to the Dominican Republic, through President Mejía, for the debut of the Dominican national team in these Olympic Games of Paris 2024.

In the same conversation, the Bulgarian world soccer glory, Hristo Stoichkov, valued the progress of the discipline in the Dominican Republic.

The 2024 U-17 Women’s World Cup will be the eighth edition of the tournament organized by FIFA, and will take place from Wednesday, October 16 to November 3, with venues at the Félix Sánchez Olympic Stadium and the Cibao FC Stadium, located at the headquarters of the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, Santiago de los Caballeros.
