

Centro Caribe Sports Executive Committee Tours Santo Domingo 2026 Village
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – The Centro Caribe Sports Executive Committee toured the facilities under construction of the Central American and Caribbean Village this Friday, as part of preparations for the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026.
The CCS Executive Committee arrived in the Dominican Republic on Thursday morning. The delegation was attended by Vice Presidents Roberto Richards and Christopher Samuda, Treasurer Ciro Solano, Secretary General of the organization Sara Rosario, as well as members Hans Larsen, Ángel Morales, Cyril Cameron, Damaris Young, and Annette Knott.

Led by the organization’s President, Luis Mejía Oviedo, the delegation evaluated the progress of the construction project, which will house more than 5,000 athletes and officials during the most important multi-sport event in the region. The Organizing Committee also participated in the visit.
During the inspection, key areas such as the residential blocks and recreational areas were inspected. The committee positively assessed the pace of construction, highlighting the coordination between the agencies involved.
The Central American and Caribbean Village will be located in the Santo Domingo Este area and is emerging as one of the main pillars of the sports infrastructure for the Games.
