I, Luis Mejía, President of Centro Caribe Sports, in my capacity as a Member of the International Olympic Committee, express my full approval of the “Declaration on solidarity with Ukraine, sanctions against Russia and Belarus and the status of athletes from those countries”, issued by the International Olympic Committee.

As Olympic leaders we aspire to unrestricted respect for Human Rights and reject government conflicts that impact athletes.

Athletes deserve our respect and support so that they can participate in sports jousts that guarantee them to continue growing.

Just as President Thomas Bach affirmed that “sport alone cannot create peace”, at Centro Caribe Sports, we are clear that athletes are the center of our work and will always have our support.

Regardless of passports, being respectful of Olympic values, ethics and the Olympic Charter, we can always affirm that “Sports Unites us”.
