DOMINICAN SPORTS MINISTER KELVIN CRUZ VISITS CENTRO CARIBE SPORTS HEADQUARTERS

SANTO DOMINGO, DR.- The Minister of Sports and Recreation of the Dominican Republic, Kelvin Cruz, accompanied by the Ad Vitam President of the Dominican Olympic Committee, Dr. José Joaquín Puello, as part of an agenda to visit different sports organizations, held an official meeting at the headquarters of Centro Caribe Sports, hosted by the President of the organization, Luis Mejía Oviedo.

During the meeting, Minister Cruz and President Mejia Oviedo discussed issues of vital importance for the development of sports in the Caribbean region and Central America, among the points addressed, highlighted the inter-institutional collaboration to strengthen sports disciplines.

“With our Open Doors Ministry program, we are listening, we are serving as a sponge to build a plan that can be participatory, inclusive and above all that represents the best feeling and will of its leaders in sport,” said Cruz.

For his part, Mejía Oviedo thanked the minister for his visit and highlighted the work and qualities that Cruz has demonstrated in the short time he has been in office.

“I am pleased that in your case you have asked us to come, and that is truly an honor, especially because I see in your attitude to relate, to know, to deepen and to know what are the institutions that are around,” said the IOC Member.

The visit concluded with a tour of the headquarters of Centro Caribe Sports, and the delivery of the institution’s apparel and the book ”HUELLAS a Paris 2024”.
