PALMAREJO.- The Salvadoran Juan Manuel Bolaños Barrios added two gold medals for his country, in the jumping modality, in the closing of the equestrian championship of the XXIV Central American and Caribbean Games, San Salvador 2023.
The championship was held at the Palmarejo Equestrian Center, in Santo Domingo, sub-venue of the regional event.

Rider Bolaños Barrios, who galloped on the back of Zilouet Mystic Rose, took the gold in overall, with only 1.02 accumulated faults, followed on the podium by his Panamanian Victoria Heurtematte, who rode Scarlett Du Sart Z, for the silver medal with 4.00 faults and the bronze went to Alberto Sánchez Cozar, from Mexico, with 5.09 faults, riding the equine Abril Hilcha Z.
Bolaños Barrios rode the course without faults for his second medal, accompanied on the podium by Sanchez Gozar, who had 50.96 for the silver and Luis Fernando Larrazabal, from Venezuela, winner of the bronze.
The Quintana Rooans added three medals, two gold, won by Yvonne Losos de Muñiz and one bronze with María Brugal Gassó, in sprint jumping, while the Salvadorans only reached the podium with two gold medals won by Bolaños Barrios.
