Marileidy Paulino Delivers Outstanding Performance at Jamaica’s Grand Slam Track

Central Caribbean athletics star Marileidy Paulino delivered a remarkable performance this Saturday on the second day of the Grand Slam Track held in Kingston, finishing third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.35 seconds.

The Dominican star thus added six more points to her personal tally at this important international event, which brought together some of the world’s leading athletics athletes. Paulino had previously earned eight points in the 200-meter race, totaling 14 points, placing her third overall at the Jamaican event.

The 400-meter race was dominated by Salwa Eid Naser, who clocked an impressive time of 48.67 seconds, taking first place in this event. Olympic medalist Naser finished second in the overall standings with 17 points, having earned five additional points in the 200 meters.

Meanwhile, American Gabby Thomas, a two-time Olympic medalist and graduate of the prestigious Harvard University, finished second in the 400 meters with a time of 49.14 seconds. This performance earned her a total of 20 points, taking first place in Kingston.

With this result, Marileidy Paulino once again confirms her excellent form and continues to establish herself as one of the leading track and field figures in Central America and the Caribbean ahead of upcoming international competitions.

The next stop of the Grand Slam Track will be Miami, from May 2-4. Philadelphia will then host the track and field stars from May 30-June 1, and the circuit will conclude in Los Angeles, from June 27-29.
