

Marileidy Paulino Flies in Paris
Dominican sprinter Marileidy Paulino made her debut in the 2025 Wanda Diamond League season in impressive fashion, taking first place in the 400m at the Paris stop with a time of 48.81 seconds.
With this time, Paulino not only achieved her best time of the season (SB), but also set a new Paris Meeting record (MR).
Salwa Eid Naser of Bahrain crossed the finish line in second place in 48.85, just four hundredths behind. Martina Weil also finished third with a time of 49.83, setting a new Chilean national record (NR).
The reigning Olympic and world champion continues to consolidate her dominance in the all-around. Her time of 48.81 in Paris represents a new season’s best and gives her crucial points in the Diamond League standings.
This victory represents the perfect start for the Olympic and world champion in her participation on the Diamond League circuit this year. With this victory, Paulino reaffirms her world leadership in the 400m event.
