NAMED THE FIRST FLAG BEARERS FOR THE CENTRAL AMERICAN AND CARIBBEAN SEA AND BEACH GAMES 2022

One week away from the first edition of the Central American and Caribbean Sea and Beach Games Santa Marta 2022, the first flag bearers of the Olympic Committees of each country for these sporting events to be held from November 19 to 26 are already known.

Among the countries that have already made the official presentation of their flag bearers are: Puerto Rico, Venezuela, El Salvador, Dominican Republic and Panama.

Several sports stars will be in charge of carrying the flags of their nations at the opening ceremony to be held on Saturday 19 at the Camellón de la Bahía.

Puerto Rico will arrive in Santa Marta 2022 with 56 athletes and handball player Roxanaly Carrasquillo and sailboarder Pedro Luis Fernandez are its flag bearers.

The Dominican flag bearers were handball player Nancy Peña and Youth Olympic champion Deury Corniel in sailing. Their delegation is made up of 49 people.

The Venezuelan Olympic Committee chose the athletes Rosanny Álvarez in Surfing and Ramón “Nacho” Guedez in Beach Tennis, while El Salvador’s Eliodoro Portillo, goalkeeper of the Beach Soccer team, will carry the flag for El Salvador.

Finally, Panama selected the athletes Ángel Cortés in Beach Wrestling and Stephanie “Stevie” Bodden in Stand Up Paddle Surfing.
