SANTO DOMINGO.- The President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach, presented the IOC President’s Trophy to Luis Mejía Oviedo, during the opening of the central office of Centro Caribe Sports in the Dominican capital.

In a ceremony attended by the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, as well as the Presidents of Panam Sports and CANOC, Neven Ilic and Keith Joseph, respectively, in addition to the members of the Executive Committee of the organization and the guests at the party, witnessed the recognition of the regional sports leader.
“I want to take advantage of this significant moment to present our friend and sports leader in the region, Luis Mejia Oviedo, with this trophy that represents the birth of an athlete in this world where the sky is the limit,” said Bach.
