Punta Cana wins host for IOC 2027 session
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, has been selected to host the 2027 IOC Session, following a vote by its members. The presentation, by IOC Member Luis Mejía Oviedo, brought a Caribbean flair to the 144th IOC Session in Greece. With a presentation by two-time Olympic champion Félix Sánchez, Garibaldi Bautista, President of the COD, and Felipe Vicini, President of Creso and member of Centro Caribe Sports, the Dominican Republic brought the 144th IOC Session to a close with a flourish, emphasizing the importance of hosting the session of the International Olympic Committee in Punta Cana for the Central American and Caribbean region.
