TEAM PANAM SPORTS 2025: “THE POWER OF THE NEW GENERATION”

Jun 25, 2025

Miami, June 25, 2025 – Only 45 days remain until the ASU2025 Junior Pan American Games, the top continental multi-sport event for young athletes. Today, Team Panam Sports 2025 was officially unveiled.

After successful campaigns at Lima 2019, Santiago 2023, and Paris 2024, a new group of top athletes from the region has been selected to promote the ASU2025 Junior Pan American Games, the premier youth sports festival in the Americas.

These standout young athletes come from Brazil, Jamaica, the British Virgin Islands, the United States, Chile, Colombia, and Paraguay. Each has already made a name on the world stage in their respective sports and is expected to be a key figure at ASU2025. Panam Sports selected these athletes not only for their performance in competition, but also for their leadership, values, and ability to represent their countries and the Olympic spirit beyond the field of play.

“The power of the new generation”

With the slogan “The Power of the New Generation”, Team Panam Sports joins a regional communication and marketing campaign aimed at promoting the significance of the ASU2025 Junior Pan American Games across the Americas.

“We have achieved an extraordinary group of ambassadors for Team Panam Sports 2025. World medalists, Pan American medalists and some of them even placed at the top of the senior rankings in their respective sports. “The most important thing is that they are exceptional athletes — true role models not only in their own countries, but across the entire continent. We are confident they will proudly represent all the athletes participating in the ASU2025 Junior Pan American Games,” said Panam Sports President Neven Ilic.

Among the selected athletes are some of the most outstanding young talents in the world. Brazilian swimmer Guilherme Caribe, currently ranked number 2 globally in the 100m freestyle and a three-time Pan American champion at Santiago 2023, leads the list. Also featured are the two fastest women in the Under-20 category: Jamaican sprinter Alana Reid and Adaejah Hodge from the British Virgin Islands.
