The Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships continue at the National Stadium, and the stars from Central America and the Caribbean countries keep making their mark.

With five gold medals and a total of seven medals, the United States leads the overall standings, followed by Kenya and Canada, both with three medals (two golds each). However, the Caribbean’s brilliance has not gone unnoticed: Jamaica is in fourth place overall, positioning itself as the most outstanding country from Central America and the Caribbean thanks to one gold medal and two silvers.

Jamaica has been a protagonist, particularly in the sprint events. Tina Clayton secured silver in the women’s 100 meters, while in the men’s category, Oblique Seville and Kishane Thompson claimed gold and silver, respectively, in athletics’ premier event.
