Ronald Medrano, looked brilliant as always and was flirting with history, compiling six innings of work, allowing only one hit by Lombardo Padilla in the fourth inning. That was the hit that deprived him of perfection, since in his work, he gave no bases on balls and adorned his presentation with 13 strikeouts.
Nicaragua’s pitching was up to the task against the batting of Honduras, which in addition to Medrano, the relief continued excellent, followed by Duque Hebbert, pitching two perfect innings with a pair of strikeouts and Goffrey Bennett, in an episode, also perfect, struck out three.
In total, Honduras “swallowed” 18 strikeouts against Nicaragua.
