We celebrate Play True Day
Play True Day is an initiative promoted by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) to promote clean, doping-free sport. It is celebrated annually, usually on April 10th, although today is close.
This day seeks to raise awareness about the importance of competing with integrity, respecting the rules, and promoting values such as ethics, respect, and equality in sport. During Play True Day, WADA and sports organizations around the world conduct activities such as educational campaigns, events featuring athletes, and social media posts to engage the sports community and the general public.
For example, in previous years, messages from prominent athletes have been shared and workshops on the fight against doping have been held.
Play True Day, established by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in 2014, is an annual event dedicated to promoting clean sport and raising awareness about doping prevention. Celebrated every April, it brings together athletes and sports organizations from every corner of the world.
At Centro Caribe Sports, we promote awareness and support for clean sports, said Luis Mejía Oviedo, referring to the global campaign that the 37 National Olympic Committees that make up the Central American and Caribbean organization join each year.
