Nov 15, 2022

Costa Rica will arrive at the First Central American and Caribbean Sea and Beach Games with 16 athletes divided between 8 men and 8 women.

One of the representatives is Yazdanny Castro, a native of Los Tajos in Quepos, world bodyboarding champion and currently European champion.

The information was delivered by the president of the Olympic Committee of that country, Alexánder Zamora, who indicated “Sports on the beach and in the sea have gained a lot of popularity in the world. For example, in the last Olympic Games, disciplines such as skateboarding and surfing had the largest audiences and the seedbed of athletes continues to increase”.

The first Central American and Caribbean Sea and Beach Games 2022 will be held in Santa Marta, from November 19 to 26, with the participation of 26 countries, with more than 600 athletes expected to compete in 10 sports.

This sporting event is a tribute to the sea and all its richness, but also allows us to continue positioning Santa Marta as unstoppable in sports, with a high level of organization and international vision.
