Luis Mejía Oviedo, President of Centro Caribe Sports, expressed: “The digital reading room of Centro Caribe Sports now boasts six publications, building an important historical memory this year, 2024. These three new works are footprints that inspire us. We close a great year with the creation of our Editorial Fund, promoting reading and the knowledge of our sporting history.”

A Tribute to Sporting Legacy

“Memorias de la Cumbre Centenaria” revisits the experiences of the summit held in Panama, where leaders, athletes, and experts shared masterful lectures and reflections. This book also incorporates audiovisual elements accessible through QR codes, offering readers an interactive experience.

“Campamento de Kata Centroamericano y del Caribe” and “Campamento de Kumite Centroamericano y del Caribe” pay tribute to two icons of world karate: Antonio Díaz, a kata legend, and Douglas Brose, a kumite standout. These publications capture the experiences and lessons learned during the sports camps held in the region, narrated by athletes, coaches, and sports figures.

Innovation and Memory in Digital Format

With this launch, Centro Caribe Sports strengthens its commitment to digital publications as a key tool for preserving and disseminating the region’s sports history. These publications not only commemorate our history but also bring new generations closer to the legacy of sports in Central America and the Caribbean.”
